A bit more about ADHD

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental “disorder” that can cause people to have difficulty paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors, and organizing tasks. These symptoms can make it difficult for people with ADHD to manage their marketing – and their business – as they may have trouble staying on task, meeting deadlines, and keeping track of details.

In addition, people with ADHD often have difficulty with executive functioning skills, such as planning, prioritizing, and time management. These skills are essential for effective marketing, as they require the ability to think strategically, set goals, and track progress.

Marketing Tips for Business Owners with ADHD

  • Again, set realistic goals. When you have ADHD, it’s important to set realistic goals for yourself. Don’t try to do too much at once, or you’ll quickly become overwhelmed. Start with small, achievable goals and gradually work your way up to bigger ones.
  • Break down tasks into smaller steps. This will make them seem less daunting and more manageable.
  • Take breaks often. People with ADHD often have difficulty focusing for long periods of time. To avoid getting overwhelmed, take breaks often to stretch, walk around, or do something else that will help you clear your head.
  • Use tools and resources. There are a number of tools and resources available to help people with ADHD manage their time and stay organized. Some helpful tools include planners, to-do lists, and apps.
  • Ask for help. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from friends, family, or professionals. There are many people who are willing to offer support and guidance.
